Hugh Latimer- Bishop of Worcestor and an English protestant reformer.

He was burnt at the stake with the bishop of Rochester Nicholas in 1555 on the orders of the Catholic

Queen Mary. His last words were,

“Be of good comfort Mr. Ridley, and play the man. We shall this day light such a candle by God’s grace

in England, and I trust shall never be put out.”
