H131 to H135

#131. Trust and Faith

All religions LEAD to the same God.

Religion sets rules and codes of conduct.

What is use of belonging to a religion

if we are not going to follow the code of conduct also?

I am sure NO religion permits adultery.

Is it NOT cheating the lawful spouse,

stabbing in his /her back???

Killing a person’s trust and faith is

worse than killing the person.

#132. Superlatives?

Money, muck and knowledge MUST be spread

to become useful to everyone.

But Money joins hand with Money.

Beauty joins hand with Beauty.

Tall people unite producing taller people.

Fat people unite producing fatter people.

Short people unite producing shorter people.

At this rate soon we will have only superlatives

in every category and no normal or ordinary people!

#133. Marriage Mismatches

The usual reason behind such mismatches

is money or the lack of it.

When there are people who are

ready to do anything for money,

there will be people who will the

make others do anything for money.

#134. Samashti Upanayanam.

Today I attended for the first time in my life a samashti upanayanam.

Some 60 boys became brahmachaaris officially.

The youngest might have bee 5 years or 7 years old

and the oldest on the wrong side of 20s.

Beards, whiskers and other forms of hair arts were seen

but no one had a sikhai (kudumi).

Some of the boys were taller than heir dads.

Some of the dads had problem sitting on the floor.

Some moms had problem standing behind their masters

and also while sitting on the floor!

When the father had to embrace the CHILD (?)

it was a challenge to many a father there –

due to the size of the over grown CHILD and

the size of his own overgrown belly!

It was good fun watching the proceedings.

The priests were shouting in the mike and

the others were shouting in the hall.

Indians can never remain silent unless you tie up their hands.

No need to tape their mouths, since they can’t speak without

the liberal use of the hand gestures!

#135. No Good deed goes unpunished!

How right is the Hindi proverb

“nekhi karo!

juthe Khao!!’

“Do good!

Get kicked!!”
