#1. Mathematics in real life!
a). (+1) x (+1) =(+1)
b). (+1) x (-1) = (-1).
c). (-1) x (+1) = (-1).
d). (-1) x (-1) = (+1).
These formulas look so dry and dreary! They are so hard to remember!
But presto!
Apply them to real life and nothing will be easier to remember.
Want to know how?
Replace (+1) with ‘a friend’ and (-1) with ‘an enemy’.
So now the modified formulas are:-
a). The friend of a friend is a friend.
b). The enemy of a friend is an enemy.
c). The friend of an enemy is an enemy.
d). The enemy of an enemy is a friend.
What can be juicier than these real life formulas?
#2. Life and grammar.
1. Life is an active voice.
Think of what you can cause to happen
and not what things do to you.
2. Life is in the Indicative mood and not in subjunctive mood.
See things as they are.
3. Life is present tense.
Not yesterday, not tomorrow.
4. Live in the First Person.
Use your own intelligence.
5. Live in Singular number.
Act according to your own conscience and not for the applause of the crowd.
6. Verb Conjugate…..To love.
#3. Crops and weeds
Distinguish between a crop and a weed?
What we want to grow is a crop and what grows on its own it a weed!
So the wild flowers are considered as weeds in an exquisite lawn.
The wild grass is considered as a weed in an exquisite flower bed!
Isn’t strange how much difference there is between those two things-
that we are ready to pay for and that we get free of cost?!
What we buy is priceless (SINCE IT COSTS OUR HARD EARNED MONEY) and
what comes free must be worthless (SINCE IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE)!
Human psychology and philosophy are indeed very strange!
#4. The snake and the skinner.
The whole world shivers at the sight of a poisonous snake. A snake in
wilderness is a threat to anyone and everyone. But the snake too is afraid of
someone! Want to know who?
When that man and the snake come face to face, it is the snake which does a
leap cum U turn and runs away as fast as it can! The reason..?
The man is a skinner! He catches hold of the snake, rips its skin and removes it
off, very much like peeling a live and struggling banana.
The bleeding and struggling snake is thrown on the ground. If it survives and
lives, it will prepare a fresh skin to be harvested by the skinner later.
#5. Be aloof in a crowd!
A holy man was lecturing vehemently on the power wives exert on their husbands – directly and indirectly.
The women seemed to employ various methods to control their husbands through invisible strings,
emotional blackmails, temper tantrums, threatening and ultimatums.
At the end of the lecture he demanded to know how many of the men present there dared to put their wives
in their places.
Everyone remained still like a statue. A little man walked away from the group and stood alone.
The speaker was overwhelmed that at least one person in the whole crowd had the guts to play his role
properly.
He asked the man, “What makes you stand alone from the rest of the crowd?”
You could have felled the entire crowd with a blow of your breath when the man replied with a sheepish
smile, “My wife has told me to stay away from any crowd – always!”
