#66. The Ten Directions

Dasaratha was a clever king and he has a lesson to teach all of us.

We always think of traveling in one of the four or eight directions.

But he was wise enough to include the upward and downward directions also

in his plan. When traveling in one of the four / eight directions become an

impossibility, the other two directions will come in very handy!

#67. Is it NOT surprising that a person who tolerates….

a home nurse is unable to put up with one’s own sister???

an ayah is unable to put up with one’s own mother???

a servant is unable to put up with one’s own father or brother???

a cook mami is unable to put up with one’s own mami or aunt???

What is the world coming to???

#68. Make or break?

It is NOT JUST the divorce rate that has increased in recent years.

Many engagements break even before the weddings takes place!

The reason…???

The girls reveal their true nature (swaroopam and swabhavam)

during their chat with the prospective grooms

shocking them out of their slumber (rude awakening???)

or the boys make their real swaroopam and swabhaavam

made known to the prospective brides!!!

Should we feel happy that a wrong union was prevented OR

feel sad that these boys and girls are so rigid already that

they do not even want to try out the union???

69. Catch them young!

The weddings in which the brides were of a tender and impressionable age had its own advantages.

The brides were young, open to suggestions, willing to learn and willing to please their elders.

They had not yet formed their firm outlooks and stubborn opinions.

They learned the life style of their in-law’s house and adopted to their customs and concepts easily.

They did not have time to fall in live with other boys and mess up their wedded lives.

They were like clean new slates which are the best to write upon!

#70. The Bet

One man A came to another man B and told him,

“I bet you won’t remove your shirt, even if I give you one hundred rupees”

“Oh! What a wind fall!” thought B and promptly removed his shirt.

A lost his bet and handed over to B a one hundred rupee note.

Just then B saw A go to another man C and collect 500 rupees from him.

A had bet to C Rs 500 saying that he can make B remove his shirt within 5 minutes’ time!

Everyone has a price tag on him just like everything else we see!!
