I was born to Dr. K. N. Raman and Mrs. Meenal Raman as the second of their five children.
I achieved proficiency in Bharatha Natyam and Carnatic music during my school days. I graduated with Distinction from Madras University in 1966, with Physics as my Major subject. I won the National Merit Scholarship for higher studies.
I have diplomas in Carnatic Music, Journalism, Hindi and Fine arts. I have published 72 articles in The Young World of The Hindu between 1993 and 2008.

Dear Madam,
I am Padmanabhan Janakiraman, aged about 74, my wife Smt Sakuntala Padmanabhan is aged about 67. We both are Green Card holders; we often travel between US/UK/India
My son is a software engineer also my daughter in law. They have two boys, and all are now US citizens. My daughter is a Doctor , also my Son in Law , both work in Hospitals in Uk/Wales, They have a son and daughter.They will be taking UK citizenship very soon.
At present we are in UK., will be going over to US in February 2013.
Do not know when we we will be back in Chennai where we have some property.
I really enjoy your Kavithaigal, as they do not criticize any culture, any behavior, and race or religion.
Please keep it that way all the time.

dear Mr. Padmanabhan,
Read your profile given here. We too have two sons who live in USA and manage to vist them every other year to spend 4 to 6 months with them.
The cute little grandchildren attract us like magnets. We are now in USA (from mid July till mid december) and then return to India.
